Resource Aware Distributed Knowledge Discovery

Resource Aware Distributed Knowledge Discovery perspective on resource constrained algorithms that are fundamentally designed to handle limited bandwidth, limited computing and storage capabilities, limited battery power, and specific network-communication protocols.

The goal of this line is to promote an interdisciplinary forum for researchers who deal with sequential learning, anytime learning, real-time learning, online learning, etc. from data streams and related themes.

Resource Aware Distributed Knowledge Discovery

  • re-asses existing machine learning technology in the light of the design challenges formulated above
  • collect promising results achieved in the relevant research areas ranging from machine learning and knowledge discovery to evolutionary computing and agent technologies
  • enlarges the space of available tools & approaches by exchanging with other communities working on evolutionary computing, human & animal learning (cf. WG 6)
